Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of protean career attitude towards proactive work behavior with passion for work and self-management as mediators. In this study, both primary and secondary data were obtained. Secondary data were collected from various sources, such as journals, books and data obtained from the company, while primary data by using questionnaire. To measure the variables, it was used questionnaires distributed to 80 employees working in PT Suryawindu Pertiwi which is a subsidiary of PT Central Proteina Prima Tbk. based on purposive sampling method. The techniques of data analysis that used in this study is Partial Least Square using SmartPLS 3.2.7 software to determine the path coefficient, the direct or indirect influence of exogenous variables on endogenous variables. Findings shows that, the protean career attitude has a positive and significant effect towards the proactive work behavior, passion for work and self-management. Passion for work and self-management also have a positive and significant effect on proactive work behavior. In addition, it is shown that passion for work and self-management proved to mediate the relationship between protean career attitude toward proactive work behavior.
