Abstract
Description of Spirituality Levels in Diabetic Foot Ulcer Patients in Surgery and Internal Diseases Room xvi + 78 pages + 8 tables + 2 pictures + 13 appendices Diabetic foot ulcer is one of the chronic complications of diabetes mellitus. Diabetic foot ulcer patients have low physical health (75,8%), psychosocial problems, and economics. Presence of wound exudate, foul odour, pain, social isolation, and mobility impaired affect the patient's spirituality. Spirituality is an aspect of the individual's life for the search for meaning and purpose in life. Previous research found that the average diabetic foot ulcer patient has a low level of spirituality with a score of 12.6The purpose of this study was to describe spirituality level of diabetic foot ulcer patient in surgical and internal disease. This research was a descriptive quantitative survey with a research questionnaire of Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) questionnaire. Sampling technique that has been used was purposive sampling with 84 diabetic foot ulcers patients who were doing outpatient in surgical and internal disease room, K.R.M.T. Wongsonegoro Hospital. The results showed that the majority of respondents had high of spirituality level was 84,4%. The aspect of closeness to God, found that most respondents very close to God was 45.2%.
