PERBANDINGAN CERITA ARYA PENANGSANG VERSI NASKAH BABAD PAJANG DAN CERITA RAKYAT ARYA PENANGSANG DI MASYARAKAT JIPANG (Suntingan Teks dan Kajian Intertekstual)

Abstract

Babad Pajang manuscript obtained by literature review and observation in online catalogue of Yayasan Sastra Lestari Surakata with number 1845. The researcher find eight manuscript with the same title in some online catalogs of manuscript repository. Beside that, the researcher also use oral tradition from Jipang society as object of this reseach. The researcher present description of manuscript, transliteration, text translation of text edits, and intertextual analysis. The theoretical basic used is the theory of philology to obtain edits of text that approached the original, Theory of folklore to obtained oral tradition in Jipang society, Theory of structural to analysis intrinsic element of Arya Penangsang story in Babad Pajang and oral tradition, also Theory of intertextual to analysis relation Arya Penangsang story in Babad Pajang and oral tradition. Whereas the methods of this research is data accumulation, data analysis, and presentation of data analysis results. The conclution of observation from oral tradition produce that not everyone in Jipang society can tell about Arya Penangsang story. The society believe that every people who tell the wrong story, they will get the worst problem in their life. The result of this analysis is Babad Pajang manuscript is hipogram of oral tradition in Jipang society. Both of them have linkages and also have complementary function.
