Abstract
Melvina Larissa Januar Overview Personal Hygiene as Prevention Efforts in the Tlogosari Kulon Health Center Work Area xvii + 64 pages + 12 tables + 3 images + 16 attachments Leptospirosis is a disease caused by the leptospira sp. which enter the human body directly or indirectly. One of the prevention efforts is personal hygiene. The purpose of this study is to identify personal hygiene measures as an effort to prevent leptospirosis transmission. This research used quantitative research with descriptive research design. In this study, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data obtained by using questionnaire that has been tested by experts and has passed the reality test phase with the results of 0,933 (very reliable). This study used univariate analysis and involved a total of 110 respondents. The majority of respondents who participated in this study were <40 years (non high risk group) (64,5%), male (70,9%), high school graduated (44,5%), works not related to livestock/working in humid areas of water and soil (90%). The results showed a high level of personal hygiene as many as 12 respondents (10,9%), moderate as many as 87 respondents (79,1%), and low as many as 11 respondents (10%). The conclusion of this study is that personal hygiene is in good category at 90% (accumulation at high and medium personal hygiene levels) but still needs follow up by relevant stakeholders in the realization of personal hygiene application.
