Abstract

Self efficacy is a form of individual belief in doing things. Self efficacy is influenced by some of the most important sources in the process of forming self efficacy including mastery experience, vicarious ecperience, verbal persuasion and other related social recognitions, and physiological and affective states. Self efficacy is very important for Bidikmisi students in fulfilling academic requirements and obligations. The results of previous studies found that there was a low self efficacy of (25.3%). Therefore self efficacy is needed in facilitating Bidikmisi students to fulfill the demands of their learning tasks. This study aims to describe the picture of self efficacy of Bidikmisi students of the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University. This research was conducted on 144 Bidikmisi students by using quantitative research. The research design in descriptive survey using total sampling technique. The results showed that most of the Bidikmisi students had a high sefficacy (52.1%) or 75 students and amounted to (47.9%) or 69 students in the low self efficacy category. Students can improve self efficacy by actively participating in academic activities, participating in organizations, and participating in student counseling activities.
