Abstract

Luluk Zahfarani Family Experience In Preventing Recurrence Of Typhoid Fever In Children Of School Age XIV + 120 page + 2 tables + 2 Images + 8 attachments Sufferers can become partially typhoid carrier, either temporarily or permanently. Recurrences can happen in a short time on sufferers who experience mild infections and produce a weak immune and treatment that are not adekuat before. School age children are more vulnerable and exposed to disease, and if it's been hit by easier to relapse. This is usually caused by the behaviour and habits of children related their risk factors which can lead to infection of typhoid. Prevention of recurrence of the disease in patients can be done if interventions are carried out also involve family and focuses on the functions of the family. The purpose of this research is to know the family experience in preventing recurrence of typhoid fever in children of school age. This research uses the method kulitatif phenomenology with in-depth interview method. Participants in this study i.e., parents of students who never suffered from typhoid fever. This study produced 10 themes, namely monitoring unhealthy consumption of children's food, providing consumption of children's food at home, providing food at home, maintaining the level of personal health, maintaining personal hygiene of children, maintaining cleanliness around children, preventing children from stress, family's role in maintaining children's health , barriers to maintaining children's health. So based on the results of the study, it is expected that the family can prevent the recurrence of typhoid fever.
