Mulyo Hadi Purnomo, M.Hum and Laura Andri Retno Martini, S.S, M.A. “Clara Atawa Wanita yang Diperkosa” is a short story by Seno Gumira Ajidarma which written and published in 1998, precisely during the Reformasi era. This story specifically addresses the issue of two ethnic dialectics because the gap between the Natives and the Chinese has become the main story idea in this short story. That issues has selected as story ideas can not be separated from the role of literature which has been a media of propaganda as well as expression of the author's soul to the social issues that surround it. In this research, the researcher uses two theories, which are Structural and Marxist Literary (Reflection Mode) theory. Structural theory is used to determine the interrelationships between elements that build the story, so it can simplify the process of object analysis. Marxist Literary (reflection mode) is used to analyze the gap and the dialectic between two ethnicities which are then comparable to the historical facts on the tragedy of 1998 to know the correlations between the fact and fiction which interrelated of each other. The result of this research is to show that as the product of literature which reflect the reality and the product of political literature which concern on subtantion of issue in object, CAWyD determines the gap between Indigenous and Chinese during the 1998 incident is a form of propaganda deliberately made by certain individuals so that chaos as it occurs as a result of social and economic vibrations. This result is obtained from the comparison between the facts in fiction obtained from the process of using the Marxist Literary(reflection mode) with the facts which found by Tim Gabungan Pencari Fakta.
