GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN REMAJA TENTANG VAGINITIS DI MTsN 2 KUDUS

Abstract

One of the physiological changes that occur during adolescence is physical changes in the female reproductive organs, such as ovulation. Ovulation causes an increase in vaginal fluids. Discharge of this fluid causes the vagina to become more humid so it can cause increased growth of fungi and bacteria. It is also supported with a dirty area of the vagina, so it can cause various diseases one of which is vaginitis. The level of knowledge is very influential on the incidence of vaginitis. An understanding of vaginitis is less likely to increase the risk of vaginitis. The purpose of this study was to describe the description of adolescent knowledge about vaginitis in MTsN 2 Kudus. This design of this study was quantitative descriptive with cross sectional approach. This study used total sampling with 272 respondents. The research instrument in the form of a questionnaire of knowledge about vaginitis with 33 items. The results showed as many as 78 students (28.6%) have a good knowledge about vaginitis, a total of 143 students (52.6%) have knowledge enough about vaginitis and 51 (18.8%) had less knowledge. Adolescement female are advised to begin to know vaginitis so they can do prevent vaginitis or treat vaginitis.
