GAMBARAN KECELAKAAN KERJA PADA MAHASISWA KEPERAWATAN SAAT PRAKTIK KLINIK DI RUMAH SAKIT

Abstract

ABSTRACT Work accidents are events that occur in the workplace that could cause injury, illness, or death. Nurses have higher risk (95%) to expose some causes of work accidents. Nursing students in clinical practice can make some errors during nursing practice. The errors will increase if they have some academic tasks and bad sleep pattern. The purpose of this study is to describe the incidence of work accidents at Diponegoro University nursing students currently in the hospital clinical practice. This study is a descriptive study with survey approach. The sample size in the study was 192 respondents using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data were taken using questionnaires, analyzed by univariate analyzing, and served with a frequency distribution table. Research results obtained the accidents often experienced by nursing students were etched by ampoule 149 (77,6%), splashed by the patient's body fluids 137 (76,4%), and back pain 121 ( 63 %). while the rare worker accidents experienced by the students is exposed to splash of chemicals 6 (3.1%), fall from a height of 5 (2.6%), chemical solvent poisoning 2 (1%).
