Abstract
Have been designed and development voltage control system using phase control circuit to control velocity of induction motor (AC Motor). The device can be used in industry, especially in controlling velocity of motor in industry’s mechines. The system consist of hardware and software. The hardware consist of LDR circuit, optocoupler circuit, external timer circuit,Microcontroller AT89S51 circuit and DAC circuit, phase control circuit with IC TCA 785, SCR circuit, and LCD display circuit. The software used Read51 assembly programming. Work’s system of the device is LDR sensor will detect the vessel on a conveyor that will be used as input of microcontroller with the program integrated in microcontroller, the input used as reference to give input in DAC. In DAC circuit, data changed into analogue before sent to phase control circuit. Input of the phase control circuit is analogue voltage in volts, while the output is pulse wave that used to trig SCR’s gate, so SCR can used to control the velocity of AC motor. Result or the value of velocity controlling is shown on LCD. The research results a device that can control velocity of AC motor on conveyor depend on input situation of the sensor on the conveyor. The controlling gotten from controlling output voltage of SCR.
