Abstract
This study aims to describe lexicon variants, and the spread of lexicon variants. This study also describes the typical cluster features and the existence of the distribution of relic lexicons in Magelang District by using language mapping. This type of research is a qualitative research Sampling was conducted in four sub-districts, Secang Sub- variants. In addition, this study also describes the typical cluster features and the existence of the distribution of relic lexicons in Magelang District by using language mapping. The data collection is done by using simak method and skill method. The method district, Grabag Sub-district, Kajoran Sub-district, and Mertoyudan Sub-district, especially in Madusari Village, Grabag Village, Sambak Village, and Sukorejo Village. Simak method and skill method is used to collect the data. For the data analysis, writer used descriptive qualitative method. Presentation stage of analysis result presented formal and informal. The results of the study were 1) javanese lexicon variants in Magelang District have three forms, is innovative, characteristically, and relics. The variant forms appear to indicate sporadic spreading lexicon variants, and in the lexicon spatial distribution grouped by the number of lexicons distributed at the observation point of the lexicon spreading at four observation points, the distribution of the lexicon at three points of observation, the spread of the lexicon at two points of observation, and the spread of the lexicon one observation point. The lexicon has a sporadic spreading range, as well as the lexicon with the most widely distributed at one observation point, 125 lexicons, 2) typical cluster in Magelang district found in 25 clusters. Forms of clusters that have a downward direction of motion found 20 clusters, is [sl], [tl], [dl], [br], [kl], [dr], [gr], [cr], [mr], [ py], [tr], [bl], [jl], [kr], [pr], [sr], [ml], [gl], [ŋl], [ŋr]; the form of clusters with upward motion found 4 clusters, is [mb], [nj], [nd], [ŋg]; and the shape of the cluster that has the direction of of motion from top to bottom found 1 cluster, is [mbl], 3) lexicons of Javanese relics in Magelang District found 179. The existence of spreading of the relics occurs sporadically. The relic form found in BJKM is a form of complete relic based on an ancient Javanese dictionary PJ Zoetmolder.
