RELASI NOVEL GENDUK KARYA SUNDARI MARDJUKI DENGAN REALITAS SOSIAL PERIODE SETELAH 1970 KAJIAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA

This research anlyzes about social conflict in a novel titled Genduk and which linked to social reality. The methods that used in this research include two phases. On the collecting data phase there are two data source wgich are primary source and secondary source. Primary source is the substance that become analysis object, formal object and material object. Secondary source is a source that support the research wgich collected from the literature on the object and from internet searching. The structural fiction, literary sociology and social conflict theories are used to analiyzes this data. The result of this study shows that there are social conflict which is happen in the novel Genduk. the conflicts are a social conflict berween santri community, abangan community, and priyayi community, a social conflict between the tobacco farmers with the gaok’s and a social conflict between PKI (Indonesian Communist Party) with the santri (Islamic religious student). After the conflict the results of this study also show the resolution of the conflict. The result of the research also shows the relatiom between social conflict inside teh novel Genduk and the social conflict on the reality. There are three relations of social conflict novel Genduk with the reality of life, among others: social condition of Indonesian society in 70s with social condition of Temanggung society, due to massacre of PKI in Temnggung, and story of farmer about tobacco middleman in Temanggung.
