Abstract

ABSTRACT Imam Fahreza. 2018. Expressive act of expression with complain meaning and complain strategy used in study of pragmatic. Thesis of Japanese Literature major. Diponegoro University. Mentor Lina Rosliana and Maharani Patria Ratna. This research used a drama called 5 Ji Kara 9 Made as the object of study. The purpose of this research is to identify the expressive act of expression with complain meaning and describe what complain strategy that had been used. The method that used in data analyze is contextual. Author used note and record method in the provision of data, then analyzed it with contextual method, and the result is presented with informal method. Koizumi and Trosborg theory are used to specify expressive act of expression with complain meaning and complain strategy. This research finds two results, they are (1) complain act of expression is focus to only the expressive act of expression, even though other act of expression can be included in complain act of expression, (2) the most widely used complain strategy is the complain strategy of pique cause.
