Abstract

The Effect Of Discourse Health Education Method To Mom’s Knowledge Level Of Early Complementary Feeding Of Breast Milk In Rowosari Village Semarang xv + 72 Pages + 8 Tables + 2 Figures + 18 Appendices The complementary feeding of breast milk is food or drink that contains nutrition given to baby aged 6 months intend to complete baby’s nutrition need. The education of complementary feeding of breast milk is feeding to baby according to the accuracy of age of breastfeeding, complementary feeding of breast milk portion suitability, according to the age of baby, and baby’s nutritional status. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of discourse health education method to mom’s knowledge level of early complementary feeding of breast milk using powerpoint media and a sample of complementary feeding of breast milk. The present research described a pre-experimental method with research design employed was one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this research is mother of baby aged above 6 months in rowosari village Semarang. The sample of this research were 35 people taken with total sampling technique. The result shows that there is effect of provision of discourse health education method to mom’s knowledge level of early complementary feeding of breast milk. The T-test value p = 0.011. It is suggested for to public health center to further evaluate to improve the communication, information and education program to minimize early complementary feeding of breast milk.
