Thesis, Department of Language and Japanese Culture Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. The Advisor Elizabeth Ika Hesti ANR, S.S, M.Hum. In the writing thesis, the writer discussed, “The Structure and Meaning of Keishiki Meishi Baai in Japanese Sentence”. The aim of research are to describe the structure and meaning of keishiki meishi baai in Japanese Sentence. The writer obtained the data from Japanese websites. The data are collected by using note taking technique. Then, analyze the structure and the meaning of keishiki meishi baai, the writer used agih method, to know what the structure and meaning of keishiki meishi baai. The result of the thesis use informal method to report the analysis. Based on the data analysis, the result show that keishiki meishi baai can be attached to verb, adjective, noun, and pre – noun. The sentence that containing baai show the meaning of time and conditional sentence. Keyword : keishiki meishi, baai
