ANALISIS PENGARUH STRUKTUR DEWAN KOMISARIS TERHADAP KINERJA PERUSAHAAN (Studi pada Perusahaan Manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2016)

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of board independence, board size, board meetings frequency, and family ownership as an independent variable to firm’s performance as a dependent variable. The populationin this study is the manufacturing companies in Indonesia that are listed on Bursa Efek Indonesia in the year 2016. The method used for sampling is purposive sampling. The total amount of the sample were determined with some specific criteria, this study obtained 94 companies as the sample. This study used multiple liniear regression to examine the hypothesis. The result of this study shows that board independence and board meetings positively affecting firm’s performance. Board size shows a negative effect to firm’s performance. Family ownership does not show any significant effect to firm’s performance.
