Abstract
Teen age can be at risk of hyperglycemia due to poor lifestyle. Diet with a composition of foods that contain too much protein, fat, sugar, salt and contain less fiber. This type of food can cause obesity problems that are at risk of the emergence of degenerative diseases such as diabetes mellitus disease characterized by hyperglycemia. The purpose of this study was to identify the incidence of hyperglycemia in students of Law Faculty of Diponegoro University.This research was a descriptive research using cross sectional approach. Sample of respondents who participated in this study was 104 respondents, sampling technique used was nonprobability quota sampling. The participating respondents filled in the questionnaire and performed fasting blood samples to measure blood sugar levels. The results of data analysis on 104 respondents found that respondents who experienced a risk of 47.1% (49 students) and the results of fasting blood glucose (GDP) on 49 respondents at risk found 57.1% (28 students) have blood sugar> 100 mg/dL. The conclusions in this study indicate that more than a half students of Law Faculty of Diponegoro University have risk of hyperglycemia in which blood sugar levels above 100 ml/dL.
