Abstract
This research goal is to understand TRAFFIC’s role as an NGO in the fight againts rhino horns smuggling from South Africa in Vietnam. TRAFFIC was present in Vietnam to assist the Vietnam government in overcoming the rhino horns smuggling, which Vietnam become the highest contributor to the end of the journey of rhino horn smuggling from South Africa. As an NGO of course what TRAFFIC could do is not to enforce the law in Vietnam, but rather to advise the government and make an approach to the community itself that in the end, the expected output is the people and the Vietnam government itself capable to solve the problem. In analyzing the role of TRAFFIC it will be used in the framework of the role of NGO. The results of this study explain that TRAFFIC has been able to fulfill what should be a NGO based on what TRAFFIC has done in Vietnam.
