Abstract

Astria, Nur. 2017. Serat Darmaduhita Text Function for the Readers Society (A Pragmatic Study). Thesis S1 Indonesia Literature, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University of Semarang. Supervisor Muh. Abdullah, M. Hum. and Dra. Mirya Anggrahini, M.Hum.. Serat Darmaduhita is a script part of Serat Wira Iswara made by Pakubuwana IX in 1898. This manuscript in the form of a print script which contains the advice of a wife's obligation to the husband in living the household life. This study aims to present the text edits and describes the benefits contained in the text. The methods used in this study include data collection / inventory, data processing, and presentation of data analysis results. While the theory used by researchers is the theory of philology and the theory of pragmatic Abrams. Philology theory is done through stages which include: the description of the manuscript, outline the content, and transliteration text, which then proceed with editing the text. While pragmatic theory is used to determine the benefits or values contained in the text of Fiber Darmaduhita. The results of philological analysis in the from of transliteration and translational script to facilitate the reader in understanding the content of the manuscript and text edits accompanied by apparatus criticus of false readings. The results of pragmatic analysis conducted by researchers are: such as a wife must be filial, obedient also meticulous to the husband, sincerely and sincerely in serving the husband, putting the husband's job and always be nice to the husband.
