SERAT KYAI SAYANG (SUNTINGAN TEKS DAN KAJIAN PRAGMATIK)

Supervisor Ken Widyatwati, S.S., M.Hum. and Drs. M. Muzakka, M.Hum. Serat Kyai Sayang is one of the manuscripts stored in Museum Radya Pustaka Surakarta with script code RP 53. Serat Kyai Sayang manuscript written during the reign of Pakubuwana IV. Serat Kyai Sayang can be categorized into prose type manuscripts. Serat Kyai Sayang consists of eight puppets, containing about a King who is seeking royal knowledge, that is the science of perfection or the science of the Godhead as the hand of a king. The writer by philology theory, which are manuscript inventory, manuscript description, transliteration, editing and text translation. The method which used in this research is pragmatic method where the method refres to readers’s argumentation, by pragmatic method purpose or fungtion of manuscript be accepted to readers’s. The results of pragmatic analysis conducted by researchers such as every human should keep the behavior and moral ethics well among others. Every human being must have a sincere attitude in lending goods to others, entertaining guests, and good ethics in giving and answering greetings. Every human being must carry out God's commands and establish God's prohibition. Every human being should seek knowledge in life.
