Abstract

As an institute that has a role in developing and maintaining a good condition in order to support police work, the Regional Police of Central Java Public Relations (PR) manages the informational service which is a communicative activity in order to fulfill the information requirement to the people which is done accord with standard operational procedures. Regional Police of Central Java PR serves information to people as the effort for correcting errors and mistakes in information as well as a hoax, also it is a form of supervision concerning the function of giving information to people by giving relevant and accurate information. This research using type reasearch descriptive qualitative by using technique deep interview to obtain data. Interviews were conducted to informants namely the head of affairs the collection and processing of informations documentation and the head of affairs monitors with consideration that various informants control the problems and can provide correct informations. The use writer the concept of information management os Sondang P. Siagian as a refference for what public relations do in managing information service the Regional Police of central Java. he results showed that public relations of the central jawa police been able to resolve the problem of the news through the management of the information service of the hoax. Because of the results of the study have been analyzed if the hoax news is already neutral. From the analysis, it is known that the hoax information has been cleared can be proved from the people responses and perceptions getting better. The fact that there is no one who shares the hoax information and there are no negative complaints from society to the police from online message also becomes the indicator that the hoax has been cleared. Yet, in this condition, Regional Police of Central Java PR has problems with the few amount of human resources in pervasion who works to search information hence it impedes the process of collecting information and news.
