Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of low quality management of management information system especially website in publishing information in Faculty of Social and Political Science. Information updated on the website is often not timely, and there are still many study programs and departments that lack information or managed websites do not look alive. This happens because the lack of human resources and skill fulfillment is very minimal. Therefore, in the writing of this scientific paper the author has reviewed the constraints faced and provide solutions. The purpose of this study is to find out how the procedure performed Fisip in website management so there are still many obstacles in realizing the function of the website as a gateway of information from outside. This research uses Focus and Locus method and the type of data used is qualitative data. The study was conducted for 2 weeks and used 2 stages in finding the data. The first stage of the authors obtained the data using the interview guide to the coordinator of the Fisip PR department and the second stage is done directly by documenting the steps in managing the website with the operator. The subject of research is Vice Dean III as coordinator of Communication and Business, Academic Chair, Management of Academic Information System based on Website and Website Operator. The results of research related to good website management procedures but there are still obstacles that make the flow of information publication becomes not timely.
