Abstract
Energy savings, especially fuel oil, should be done, since petroleum is the main energy source at the moment. LPG fuel one of them in the form of LPG which is alternative fuel becomes the choice. The objectives of this final task are: (1) Comparing the rotation of premium fuel engine with LPG fuel, (2) Comparing the power produced by premium fuel engine with LPG fuel and compare the power and torque produced by premium fuel with fuel LPG, (3) Compare CO content produced by premium fuel with LPG fuel. The motor testing process using premium fuel tested power, torque and CO content using dyno test and carbon monoxide meter. Then the motor that uses LPG fuel also tested the power, torque and CO levels with the help of a converter kit that serves as a replacement carburetor for LPG gas flow. The maximum power generated from the premium fuel 8.02 HP end-cycle end-cycle at 6000 Rpm, while the maximum power of LPG fuel is 1.98 HP at 4000 Rpm rounds. For maximum torque of premium fuel 9.81 Nm at 5500 rpm Rpm, while maximum torque of LPG 4.26 Nm fuel at 3000 rpm Rpm. For maximum CO content of premium fuel 712 Ppm at 4500 Rpm rotation, while maximum CO content of LPG 919 Ppm fuel at 4500 rpm Rpm.
