Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Sistem pendinginan udara telah menjadi suatu kebutuhan pokok bagi bangunan-bangunan besar seperti gedung perkantoran, hotel, rumah, apartemen, auditorium, supermarket, industri, dll, terutama di wilayah yang memiliki musim panas atau iklim tropis. Tujuan dari penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah agar mahasiswa mampu merancang, menghitung beban pendinginan, memasang AC serta mengetahui distribusi temperatur di ruang dosen Program Studi Diploma III Teknik Mesin Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Diponegoro. Metodologi yang diterapkan memiliki lima poin utama yaitu perhitungan beban pendinginan, pemilihan unit AC, pemasangan unit AC, pengukuran distribusi temperatur dan penulisan laporan. Dari hasil perhitungan beban untuk ruang dosen diperoleh hasil sebesar 24345,64372 Btu/hr, dari kapasitas AC terpasang sebesar 18000 Btu/hr. Setelah dilakukan pengukuran distribusi temperatur didapat hasil bahwa distribusi temperatur terjadi secara merata. Kata kunci : Air Conditioning, Beban Pendinginan, Distribusi Temperatur. viii ABSTRACT Air conditioning systems have become a staple for large buildings such as office buildings, hotels, houses, apartments, auditoriums, supermarkets, industry, etc., especially in areas that have summer or tropical climates. The purpose of this find project are that students are able to design, calculate the cooling load, install the AC and know the distribution of temperature in the lecture room of Diploma III Mechanical Engineering Program Vocational Diponegoro University. The applied methodology has five main points: the calculation of cooling loads, the selection of air conditioning units, the installation of air conditioning units, the measurement of temperature distribution and report writing. From the calculation of load for the lecture room obtained the result of 24345,64372 Btu / hr, from the installed AC capacity of 18000 Btu / hr. After the measurement of the temperature distribution obtained that the temperature distributed evenly. Keywords: Air Conditioning, Cooling Load, Temperature Distribution.
