ABSTRACT Agus Supriyono The Description of the Implementation of Family Nursing Cares by Nurses in Public Health Centers in Demak Regency xv + 64 pages + 6 tables + 2 figures + 15 appendixes Family nursing care is the healthcare service provided by nurses to the individuals and families in their residence and aims to improve, maintain, and regain the health status of the family members. Family nursing care is a complex process using a systematic approach to work along with the individuals and families. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the implementation of family nursing cares by nurses working in Public Health Centers in Demak Regency. The present study employed a quantitative design with a descriptive survey. The samples were 118 nurses selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using questionnaires and document observations and analyzed using univariate analysis. The results showed implemented family nursing assesment 32.2%, family nursing diagnosis 44.1%, family nursing interventions 51.7%, family nursing implemetations 51.7%, family nursing evaluations 48.3%, and documentations of family nursing 50,8%. The results is recommended that the nurses’ competence in performing family nursing care should be further improved through socialization, training, and coaching.
