With the number of elderly population, of course this city needs a public facility with the application of universal design that is adequate for the elderly population facility such as nursing homes, or senior living that apply universal design to facilitate the activities of the elderly in running daily life in the future, Unfortunately the facility that already built in Semarang could not accommodate the percentage of elderly population in this city, either from social background or health background, such as dementia care, Alzheimer etc. The design of elderly housing are meant to be designed to be friendly to the elderly who certainly need the design as friendly to accommodate their life support in the facility, Thus the writer will details the standard, needs and anything correlated to making a good design for elderly apartment in this city for all elderly from all background.
