ANALISIS RANTAI NILAI KOMODITAS NANAS MADU DI KECAMATAN BELIK KABUPATEN PEMALANG

Abstract

Belik Sub-district is one of the sub-district in Pemalang Regency that is being the center of honey pineapple producing area with the greatest number of production among another honey pineapple producing areas. Long marketing channels which happen in the honey pineapple marketing causing the difference of price on honey pineapple. The length of marketing channels causing a lot of doers are involved in marketing process. The number of doers that are involved causing the doers take greater margin business. This research aims to analyze the value chain of honey pineapple commodity and determine the strategy to increase the value chain of honey pineapple commodity in Belik Sub-district, Pemalang Regency. The method of analysis that is used in this research is value chain analysis. Collecting data technique was conducted by choosing respondents through purposive quoted sampling method with the number of respondents as many as 100 people and snowball sampling to determine channel informants as many as 13 people. In-depth interview method to the key person from academics, businessman, government, and communities (A-B-G-C) who competence in their fields as many as five people. The result of the research shows that in this Value Chain of Honey Pineapple Commodity, the total margin on the level farmer and collectors is Rp 1.000,00/pcs. While margin between collector and wholesalers is Rp 2.000,00/pcs. The margin between wholesalers and inter regional traders is Rp 1.500,00/pcs. Then for the margin between inter regional traders and retailers is Rp 6.000,00/pcs. The right strategy to strengthen the value chain of honey pineapple commodities in Belik sub-district is doing joint price control either from the doers of the value chain, institution, or government.
