Abstract

ABSTRACT Husnia, Afinda Rosa. 2017. “Ikon, Indeks, dan Simbol dalam Lirik Lagu Album Goose house Phrase #7 Soundtrack? (Kajian Semiotika)”. A Thesis of Department of Japanese Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Thesis supervisor Nur Hastuti, S.S., M.Hum. This thesis discusses about icon, index, and symbol, and the morale values of Goose house’s song lyrics in Goose house Phrase #7 Soundtrack? album. The aims of this research are to explain the meaning of icon, index, and symbols and to find morale value(s) in the lyrics of the songs. The sources of this research are ten songs of Goose house’s from Goose house Phrase #7 Soundtrack? album. The method used in this research is literature study. The theory used in this research is about icon, index, and symbol from Charles Sanders Peirce, and concept of morale value. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that in Goose house Phrase #7 Soundtrack?’s song lyrics there are 1 icon, 11 indexes, and 14 symbols. Aside from that, there are morale values in those song lyrics, such as omoiyari value, gambaru value, giri value, and ninjou value. Key words : semiotic, charles sanders peirce, morale value.
