Abstract

Wibowo, Bayu Priyo. 2017, "The Inner Conflict of the Primary Figure in Alisya's Novel The work of Muhammad Makhdlori is a literary psychology study". Thesis, Indonesian Literature Study Program, Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Novel Alisya The work of Muhammad Makhdlori recounts the inner conflict of the main character Alisya against herself and her environment. This novel discusses the reality of human life is closely related to the problems of life that affects the development of psychology. The purpose of this study is to describe the intrinsic elements that exist in Alisya's novel and reveal the personality of Alisya as the main character. The author uses a fictional structure to describe the element of the novel builder (figure and characterization, plot, and background). The author also uses the theory of literary psychology that focuses on psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud to examine the personality of the main character through the structure of personality id, ego and superego. The result of structural analysis of Alisya's novel contains eleven figures consisting of one main character and ten additional characters; The plot of Alisya's novel is an advanced path; The setting contained in this novel is the setting of time, place, and social. The result of the analysis of personality structure in outline of Alisya figure has no balance between Id, Ego and Superego. Alisya's id and ego are so prominent that she is incapable of controlling her attitude and behavior. Although initially the more dominant Alisya character shows the aspect id and ego, but superego aspects of the morality of her personality can make Alisya back to the right way.
