The Advisor Budi Mulyadi S.Pd, M.Hum. This thesis examines the diction and style of the lyrics of L’Arc~en~Ciel in Awake’s albums. The material objects in this study are the fourv lyrics of the song, Trus and Hoshizora themed disputes, well as Jojoushi and My Dear which are themed romance. The theory used in his research is the theory of stilistika, song lyrics, diction, and style of language. The results of this study indicate that the lyrics of the theme of the dispute found diction and style of language that more and varied compared with the lyrics of the theme song of romance.
