Abstract

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budidaya alfalfa sub tropis dengan EMS tidak mempengaruhi kualitas hijauan alfalfa pada defoliasi I Rerata kadar Bahan Kering hijauan alfalfa pada masing-masing perlakuan 19,90; 17,68; 18,23 dan 18,99%, kadar Serat Kasar 36,02; 27, 89; 30,34 dan 29,34%, kadar Protein Kasar 25,83; 25,00; 26,35 dan 25,59% Kata kunci: Alfalfa, kualitas, EMS ABSTRACT Alfalfa was a legume crops grown in temperate regions, to be able to adapt in the tropics need to be mutation with EMS. The research was aimed to obtain the quality of alfalfa temperate. The design used was completely randomized design with 4 treatment (0%; 0,11; 0,22 and 0,33% EMS), 5 replicaties. Variables observed were quality of alfalfa forage (drymatter, crude fiber and crude protein content). The results showed that the cultivation of alfalfa temperate by EMS not affect quality alfalfa forage in first defoliation. The mean levels of Dry Mater alfalfa forage in each treatment 19.90 ; 17.68 ; 18.23 and 18.99 %, crude fiber 36,02; 27, 89; 30,34 and 29,34%, crude Protein 25,83; 25,00; 26,35 and 25,59%.
