Abstract

(Performance Test of Second Order Non Interacting Capacities Dynamic Process with Manipulated Variable ¼,⅜, and ½) MochamadMardianto* 21030114060097 Measurement of fluid flow rate is a very important variable in industrial process. This measurement is needed to determine the amount of fluid used in a process (flowing in and out of the process). One way of measuring fluid flow rate is by using Dynamics Process system or manual control system. The operating system carried out in measuring the change in the flow rate of a fluid with the Process Dynamics tool is a non-interacting second order. This means that the system is a combination of two processes of order one, the level of each tank does not affect each other. Tank level two will not affect the flow rate coming out of the tank one. The process is a time differential equation. The test was performed using a valve opening (disturbance) of ¼ (25%), ⅜ (37.5%), and ½ (50%). The change of the fluid flow rate from the steady state conditions is observed over a period of time and observing the elevation level every 10 seconds. The resulting response is a kind of overdamped stable response (slow response). Keywords: level height, flow rate, dynamics process
