ABSTRACT Windary, Sutia, 2017. “Nilai Pendidikan dalam cerpen Shiroi Tori karya Kusuyama Masao”. Thesis, Department of Japanese Studies Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Advisor Budi Mulyadi, S.Pd, M.Hum. In this thesis, the writer examines instrinsic elements of theme, character and characterization , plot, setting, and education values in short story Shiroi Tori. The writer choose short story Shiroi Tori as the data because this short story gave education valued that should be applied by people in everyday life. The problem statements of this research are: 1. How are the structural elements in the short story Shiroi Tori ?. 2. How do the education value in the short story Shiroi Tori if seen from sociology of literature side? The purpose of this research are: 1. To explain the instrinsic elements in the short story Shiroi Tori. 2. To explain the education values in this short story. In this thesis, collecting data is done with the library method. Then used qualitative method to describe the fact of character from their behaviour and action which followed by the analysis. According to Notonegoro’s theory, the results of research show trhat there are 4 education values in this short story Shiroi Tori. That are Moral value, Esthetic value, Religious value, and Truth value. Keywords: short story, instrinsic elements, education value, Shiroi Tori
