ABSTRACT Hanifah, Atin. 2017. "Relationship Meaning Among Song Lyrics In Deep Forest Album Owned Do As Infinity: Semiotics Review". Thesis of Literary Studies Program of Japan, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Supervisor lecturer Nur Hastuti, S.S, M.Hum. The purpose of this research is to know the meaning of the lyrics of Do As Infinity's song with heuristic reading, hermeneutic reading, matrix search, model, variant, and hipogram contained in the Deep Forest album and know the meaning relationship between the song lyrics contained in Deep Forest album Do As Infinity. The data used in this research are six lyrics of Do As Infinity's album in the Deep Forest album. The album was released on September 19, 2001. The method used in this research is literature study method. The theory used in this research is song lyrics and Riffaterre's theory of semiotics. Semiotics Riffaterre has several forms of stages, namely heuristic readings, hermeneutik meaning, search matrix, model, variant and hipogram. The result of the research in this thesis is found six big themes owned by each song lyrics. Those themes are someone who resigned because they left behind their lovers, life journey, hope and waiting, life spirit, move on, and a life lesson. Then sought the interrelationship between meaning and also a bond of love story resulting from the six songs. A love story filled with sadness and suffering. Overall, the six songs belonging to Do As Infinity have a connection of meaning that can describe the journey of love someone who continues to dissolve in sorrow because left by the lovers heart.
