Abstract
ABSTRACT The object of this research used anime entitle Omoide no Marnie. The elemental method of narrative structure helped by structural and literature psychology method are used to obtain the data. To analyze data, this research used narrative structure helped by structural Theory and the Theory of Abnormal Psychology of V. Mark Durand and David H. Barlow. This research concerns about elements of narrative relation with space, narrative relation with time, and basic narrative elements (storytellers) of Omoide no Marnie. Continued by analyze the main character, Anna Sasaki personality disorder. The results showed that Anna Sasaki and Marnie are the main character in this anime. Yoriko Sasaki, Aunty Oiwa, Uncle Oiwa, Hisako, Kadoya, Sayaka, and Grandpa Toichi are additional characters. The time pattern used in this anime is the linear pattern (A-B-C-D-E pattern). Anna’s room, Oiwa Rawa’s residence, post office, Marnie’s house, Tanabata festival location, Sayaka’s room, and Silo are the place space or setting in this anime. The situation backgrounds are pleasant, grieve and heartwarming. Personality disorder indication that suffered the main character are Paranoid, Skizoid, Antisocial, Boderline, and Avodiant.
