Abstract

ABSTRACT Wijayanti, Ariany Mentari Noor. 2017. “Konflik Batin Tokoh Utama Drama “Seigi no Mikata” Karya Sutradara Satoru Nakajima”. A essay in partial fulfillment of the requirement for S-1 Degree Japanese Department, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Advisor Zaki Ainul Fadli, S.S., M.Hum. This essay examines the inner conflicts experienced by Nakata Youko in Seigi no Mikata. This research aims to explaining the elements of story structure builder and explaining the inner conflicts experienced by Youko. The theories used are the theory of the structure of fiction and personality theory. The structure of fiction theory used to explaining themes, characters and characterization, plot and setting, and personality theory is used to revealed the inner conflicts experienced by Youko as the main character. The result of the research of Seigi no Mikata showing that Youko has an inner conflict with some people around her. The inner conflicts most highlighted are the inner conflicts experienced by Youko with her sister, Makiko. Youko always asked by Makiko to obey all Makiko wishes. Youko who initially thought her sister’s order would end after her sister’s wedding was kept getting orders from her sister. Besides the inner conflict that Youko feels with her sister, Youko also encounters an inner conflict when she thinks the her father is having an affair. In addition, Youko also feel annoyed with her feeling to Riku. To overcome the conflict that she experienced, Youko do everything possible to remove the fear and anxiety she felt.
