Abstract
ABSTRACT Beta Arum Rizki. 2017. “Compound Verbs ~Tatsu in Japanese Sentences”. Thesis, Japanese Departement, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Advisor Lina Rosliana, S.S, M.Hum. This thesis has two purposes. First, is to describe the structure of compound verb ~Tatsu. Second, is to describe the meaning of compound verb ~Tatsu. The study uses online newspaper as the data resourse, and uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data obtained by the methods and techniques refer to the note. The last was presenting data using formal words. The way to analyze it is to find the data verb-plot-tatsu, analyze the structure and meaning, and the last was presenting data using formal words. The result of this thesis are, the combination structure of the compound verb ~Tatsu consists of a combination of “verb + verb” and “noun + verb”. Characteristics of the front elements in combination “verb + verb” are verbs of condition /activity verbs, verbal will /non-verbal will, and transitive /intransitive. Characteristics of the front elements in combination of “noun + verb” are ordinary nouns. Compound verbs ~Tatsu having seven kind of meaning : It exists in a straight state /posture at once, leave where you have been, occupy position /position with a certain role, clearly appear, rumors /reputation spreads, things to think /plan /schedule, showing something that the other can see.
