Hermintoyo, M.Pd., Mentor II: Dra. Sri Puji Astuti, M.Pd. Speech act is a part of pragmatic analysis which analyses language from the aspect of its usage. Dialogue on movies have communicational process often happen on daily life and contains expression reflecting verbal behaviour. This research will discuss and analyse the verbal behaviour of illocution on the movie “Aku, Kau dan KUA” by Monty Tiwa. The goal of this research is to describe the types of illocution and to describe the function of illocution that can be found on the movie Aku, Kau, dan KUA. This research uses the qualitative approach. The steps on this research are data collection through the observation method and the record, transcribe, and note technique. Data analysis with pragmatic analysis using contextual method. Data presentation using informal method. Through this research, types of illocution was found which consist of five types of speech acts of illocution, which are (1) representative, including reporting, stating, admitting, and showing, (2) directive, including ordering, begging, suggesting, demanding, asking, and inviting, (3) expressive, including praising, congratulating, criticizing, thanking, blaming, whining, (4) commissive, including promising and stating willingness, (5) declaration, including prohibiting, cancelling, permitting, and forgiving.
