Abstract
Hydraulic Press is one of the tools used in making edible oil besides using Solvent Extraction. Mechanical pressing is one way of extracting the oil or fat, especially for materials derived from grains. Vegetable oil is the oil derived from growing plants. Vegetable oil has been used for food and non-food needs. One source of vegetable oil is peanut oil, peanut oil is a vegetable oil derived from peanuts were taken by means of the press. Peanuts can produce an oil content of about 30% -60%. Peanuts oil obtained through several processes are drying, pressing, separation of the oil with the peanut meal. The resulting oil yield analysis, density, viscosity, acid number, saponification. From the research that has been done can be concluded that peanut oil extraction using hydraulic press used to change variables such as material weight and operating pressure as much as ten times repetition optimal variable obtained on the influence of the weight of the yield is at a variable 3 with a yield of 16.11%, a figure acid of 1.26 mgKOH / g and a saponification number of 137.31 mgKOH / g with a pressing time of 15 minutes and variables optimum effect is obtained in the variable pressure 9th with a yield of 20.38%, the acid number of 1, 12 mgKOH /g and a saponification number of 136.247 mgKOH /g with a pressing operation pressure of 140 kg / cm2
