Abstract
Walnuts (Canarium indicum) is an Indonesian native plants that grow in the area of eastern Indonesia, such as North Sulawesi, Maluku and Seram island. Besides being used as a culinary substitute almonds, walnuts commonly used as a cosmetic ingredient and vegetable oil. Walnut oil content in the range of 60-70% so that walnuts have the potential to be utilized optimally. The process of extracting the oil is done in two ways by pressing and solvent. The means used to oil with a content levels exceeding 30% in general used pressing with heating pretreatment. This research study "Influence of Temperature Difference Heating and Mass to the Acquisition of Oil Walnuts using hydraulic Pressing Method (Hydraulic Pressing)". Canary seeds cleaned of impurities and then weighed and heated in accordance with the variable. Variable mass (with a heating temperature of 800C) 80 g, 90 g, 100 g, 110 g and 120 g. And variable temperature (with a mass of 100 g) 600C, 700C, 800C, 900C and 1000C. Then the seeds pressed in 2000 psia or the equivalent of 140 kg/cm2. The results of this study obtained the largest yield of variable mass is 90 grams with a yield of 58.11%. As for the variable temperature of 900C with a yield of 52%.
