Abstract
In designing this tool have dimensions digester include: tank diameter : 35 cm , height tank : 50 cm , plate thickness : 0.12 cm , Impeller diameter : 23.07 centimeters and stirrer speed : 2800 rpm to obtain a total volume of digester is 48 , 08 125 liters , if the volume of solution used was 80 % , the volume was 38.465 liters . In lab testing of the design tool digester using raw materials hyacinth with process orgonosolv using variable cooking time is 30 minutes , 45 minutes , 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes , and the temperature is: 700C , 800C , 900C and 1000C as well as the concentration of ethanol at 5 % , 10 % , 15 % and 20 % . The test results include moisture content , ash content , cellulose α levels and analysis results yield pulp. At first variable using 700C temperature with long cooking time 30 minutes and the addition of 5 % ethanol concentration obtained at 51% moisture content , ash content of 22% , cellulose α levels of 73.7 % and a yield of 12.7 % . The second variable using a temperature of 800C with a long cooking time 45 minutes and the addition of 10 % ethanol concentration obtained at 49 % moisture content , ash content of 30.5 % , α cellulose content of 72% and a yield of 13.86 % . on a third variable using a temperature of 900C with a long cooking time 1 hour and the addition of 15 % ethanol concentration obtained at 48 % moisture content , ash content of 36% , cellulose α levels of 69.7 % and a yield of 14.86 % . the fourth variable using a temperature of 1000C with long cooking time 1 hour 30 minutes and the addition of 20 % ethanol concentration obtained 47.5 % moisture content , ash content of 26% , α cellulose content of 68% and a yield of 13.46 % . Factors - factors that affect the pulping process is temperature , cooking time and the concentration of ethanol used . Abdul.kharis46@
