Abstract
Peanut is one leguminous plant oil containing about 30-40%. Fats and oils can be obtained from the extraction of animal or plant tissue in three ways, namely rendering, pressing, or with solvent. Two common ways in which the pressing mechanical pressing hydraulic (hydraulic pressing) and pressing threaded (screw pressing). How hydraulic presses require pre-treatment consists of the cooking process or tempering. The object in this research is to study the effect of time and pressure on the yield of peanut oil. Peanut kernels that have been separated by a arinyat skin is heated at a temperature of 70 in 45 minutes. Peanut seeds are compressed with variable pressure (100, 110, 120, 130, and 140 kg / cm2) and time stamping (10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 minutes). The analysis will be conducted on the products are yield, density, viscosity, acid number, and saponification. Research that has been done, the oil produced in all the variables have a value of the acid number and saponification in accordance with the terms coconut oil quality standards SNI.01-3390-1998 ie free fatty acid levels in the range of 0.08 to 6.0 mgKOH / gram samples and the saponification number 180-195 mg KOH / g of oil. The yield on the variable acquisition time is at 5 variables as much as 15.27% .and the greatest yield at variable pressure is at variable 10 as much as 15.34%. Keywords: Peanut, Peanut oil, Hydraulic pressings
