Peran Kelekatan pada Orangtua Terhadap Pemaafan Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama

Abstract

Forgiveness is the ability that becomes the basis of moral and positive character. In juvenile individuals, such as junior high school students, it becomes very important to examine those abilities from family bonding. One key to the development of skills and abilities required in social interaction is attachment to parents. This attachment arises from the positive emotional bond between the child and the parent as aattachment figure. The purpose of this study is to look at the description of forgiveness of students who entering adolescence, considering the role of attachment to parents. The study was conducted on 100 junior high school students in Grobogan, using Forgiveness Scale (α = 0,93) and Attachment to Parents Scale (α = 0,85) as data collecting tools. Data analysis using regression test, showed result r = 0,452 with p = 0.00. These results indicate a significant positive correlation between forgiveness and attachment to parents. Coefficient of Determination of 0.204, indicating an effective contribution of predictor variable of 20.4% to the forgiveness. Keywords: forgiveness, attachment to parents, junior high school students
