Abstract
For most Indonesians, bargaining is one of lifestyles or daily habits and very common view even challenging. This paper, moreover, aims to investigate whether bargaining is welcomed in overseas and to examine the opinion of foreign students towards bargaining. This study used 30 respondents from Asian and European countries, the foreign students who have learnt bahasa Indonesia at Ubaya Language Center and have stayed for at least six months . This descriptive qualitative research used open-ended questionnaire to collect the data. It was found is that in some Asian countries bargaining is a part of life style, while in European countries it is not common.
