Abstract

The Internet is one of the technology products that can access any information. The rise of oppression cases, violence occur are caused by the internet, especially social media such as facebook, twitter, and instagram. One effective way to overcome this problem is through folktale. Folktale is the effective means to inculcate positive values, to provide character building, to increase intellectuality and emotion because the non-compelling way of delivery can influence and give positive impacts to the child. The research methods used are field and library study as well as conducting interviews to students of class I-III in Nurus Sunnah Elementary School, Bulusan. The result of the research can be said that through folktale learning to students in Nurus Sunnah Elementary School can give positive impacts to students such as having good characters, faith in God, willingness to help others, empathy to others, honesty, understanding and intention to maintain the cleanliness of the environment as well as tolerance to the believers of other religions.
