FENOMENA KRAMA DESA DAN KEDUDUKANNYA DALAM PERKEMBANGAN BAHASA JAWA

Abstract

The dynamism of a language makes it always evolves with the changing times. Similarly, the level of Javanese speech that has a variety of krama and ngoko, but in its use was born phenomenon krama village. Krama desa is a kind of manners in Javanese language which is classified as nonbaku language. The emergence of the phenomenon of krama desa is based on the geographical location of rural areas far from the city center (karaton). The further away from the city center, the language developing in the region will experience a shift in shape. This article focuses the problem on the phenomenon and influence of village religion on the development of Java language. The objectives are: (1) to describe the form of krama desa, (2)to explain the function of krama desa, (3) to explain the factor of the emergence of phenomenon of krama desa. The sociolinguistic approach is used to answer these three goals.
