Abstract

Application of Islamic Based Caring Model With Organizational Commitment to Nurses xvii + 107 pages + 27 tables + 2 scheme + 12 appendices Strong organizational commitment was urgently needed by hospitals to attract and retain nursing staff so that it provides consistent quality services. Decrease in organizational commitment to nurses could lead to many losses to the organization, including increased organizational spending, reduced patient care and performance tendencies shown not for the benefit of the organization. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nurse characteristics and the application of Islamic Based Caring (IBC) with organizational commitment to nurses. This research was analytic research correlation with cross sectional design. Samples in this study were 108 nurses inpatient ward RSI Kendal, taken with proportionate stratified random sampling. Measurement of nurse characteristics and application of IBC with organizational commitment to nurses was performed using nurse characteristics questionnaires, IBC application and organizational commitment. Data analysis was done using regression logistic. The result of the research shows that in sex variable got p value=0.000, work duration got p value=0,039, healing presence got p value=0,001, Faith in God got p value=0,000. There was a positive and significant relationship between the implementation of the Islamic Based Caring Model and the organizational commitment of the nurses. The better the IBC applying, the better the organization's commitment to the nurse. Faith in God was the variable that has the greatest opportunity to increase the organization's commitment to the nurse in the next 2 years with the strength of the relationship 9,724.
