NASKAH SHIHATUN NIKAH: SUNTINGAN TEKS DISERTAI KAJIAN PRAGMATIK

The manuscript of Shihatun Nikah (SN) is a manuscript that contains about the marriage procedure in accordance with the teachings of Islam. SN is a collection of National Library of Indonesia (PNRI) with calling code KBG 616 N. SN is a manuscript written by KH. Ahmad Rifa’i was completed at 1 Muharram 1334 H / 1913 AD. SN text also the author finds in the book Tabyin Al Islah which is a private collection of KH. Nurrudin who is domiciled in Cepoko Village, Gemuh, Kendal. This research has purposes to present the text’s translation and transliterasion, to reveal the values contained in the text based on pragmatic studies. The author uses two kinds of theories, philology and pragmatics. The philological analysis of the SN manuscript is done through stages which include: the description of the manuscript, outline the contents of the text, transliteration and translation of the text, which is then followed by editing the text. Pragmatic theory is used to find out the content and values contained in SN. SN manuscript contains about marriage procedures in accordance with the teachings of Islam, in others: marriage law, requirement and principle of marriage, and chapters. Results of pragmatic analysis which writer do reveal three functions contained in script, that is; entertainment function, spiritual function, and education function. SN text entertainment function is a way of reading SN text that are sang and sung with a musical instrument. The spiritual function in SN texts includes perfecting worship and trusting Allah. While the function of education in the text of Sn is divided into three aspects namely the moral aspect, aspect morals and social aspects. The moral aspect involves marriage advice, the suggestion to be a fair marriage witness, husband and wife are encouraged to maintain speech and behavior, suggestions to maintain honor (faraj) and self esteem before marriage. Aspects to morals include obedience wife to husband and husband’s generous attitude toward the wife. While social aspect include educating people to obey religious law in marriage and educate the reader community to avoid adultery. Keywords: Moral, Philology, Pragmatic, Spiritual.
