PARAFRASE GAYA BAHASA DAN PESAN MORAL DALAM LIRIK LAGU SLANK (Kajian Stilistika)

Abstract

Thesis R. Maulana Febryanto, NIM 13010111140106 is entitled "Paraphrase, Style of Language, and Moral Message in Slank Lyrics: Stylistic Study". Slank's songs are Poppies Lane Memory (Album Balikin 1998), Pr si Sum (Album Balikin 1998), Samber Gledek (PLUR 2004 album), Bang-bang Tut (Minority Album 1996). This research the lyrics of Slank songs have an implied meaning. This is the interest of researchers to examine more deeply about the lyrics of the song. Researchers analyzed using stylistic studies with heuristic and hermeneutic readings. While the method used by the author is the method of data collection, data analysis, and presentation of data analysis results. The language styles in Slank's song text are personification, irony, and metonymology, visible from several sentences. The lyrics are not directly conveyed but replaced with sarcasm or using more polite and subtle language and using figurative language with implicit meaning. The meaning of Slank's song text is: the author's empathy towards the life of society. Meanwhile, the message of moral value in Slank lyrics of this song serves as a medium of information in the process of education which is actually a process of cultural inheritance where education is not to convey some knowledge but to interpolate values that are considered good and a guide in social life.
