Abstract

Aeny, Intan Larasati. 2017. “The Impact of Domestic Violence (KDRT) toward Children’s Psychological Development of Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie’s Di Tanah Lada Novel: Overview of Developmental Phychology”. Undergraduate Thesis (S1) Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University Semarang. Advisers (1) Drs. Mulyo Hadi Purrnomo, M. Hum (2) Laura Andri R.M, S.S.M.A. The material object of this research was Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie’s Di Tanah Lada novel whereares the formal object is the impact of domestic violence (KDRT) toward children’s psychological development. The writer analyzed structural novel which covers figures and characterizations, plot and plotting, and setting to support the impact of domestic violence (KDRT) toward the children’s psychological development. The structural analysis results of Di Tanah Lada novel were one main character, one additional main character, and five additional characters; had a mixed plot with a forward plot as the dominant one, while the setting consisted of places with Nero flat as the most important setting; the time setting started from morning to night; and the social setting showed the lack of society’s concern in Nero flat over the domestic violence (KDRT) toward children. The result of the analysis of KDRT impact toward children’s psychological development by developmental psychology study consisted of the setting of the rudeness of Ava and P’s family, i.e. inherited violence, violence in form of physical, psychological and social. The influence of KDRT toward the psychological development of Ava and P was the feeling of trust to each other compared to parents, verbal and nonverbal communication. In responding to KDRT, behavioral changes included deviations for good or bad, seeking for happiness outside the family, depression and despair until emerged the concept of life after death which finally lead them to commit suicide.
